Nordic Bologna seminar on student mobility in higher education
The Nordic Bologna expert group invites you to a seminar on student mobility in context of the Bologna Process, March 31-April 1, 2011 at Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The seminar's overarching theme is mobility, and it will focus both on the policy agenda of mobility as an important aspect of employability and, in a broader context as a prerequisite for economic growth in a globalised world. Furthermore, the seminar will present examples of how to work with mobility at an institutional level, on a strategic as well as on a practical level.
Policy and practice
The first day of the seminar will focus on policy aspects of mobility and the internationalisation of higher education. On the second day of the seminar, Bologna experts and other representatives from Nordic higher education institutions will present examples of how to work with mobility strategically and practically.
Target group
Programme Directors, Directors of Studies, Deans, Vice Rectors of Education, key persons working with international aspects in education, and of course, student representatives.
Date
The seminar will run from 12:15 on March 31st to 13:15 on April 1st, 2011.
Venue
Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Solbjerg Plads 3, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Registration:
A participant’s fee of 950 DKK will be charged, except for student representatives. The fee will cover full participation in the seminar, including a dinner on Thursday evening.

A Nordic survey on student mobility was recently conducted. The survey analysed the following aspects: What kinds of students study abroad? And what happen when they come back – are they more employable, than other students, and do they use their international competences in their further studies and careers?

14:30-16:45: Presentations on global trends for international education, growth, mobility and demography – from two different perspectives. What are the trends in international higher education and student mobility, and how should we tackle demographic challenges and secure growth in our societies?
Keynote 2: A statistical overview of trends in European learning mobility and perspectives on employability
